Murder Ballad

by Fabricari - 5:18 PM (link)

I took the guitar out of retirement and tried mixing together some banjo/guitar stuff, and a song ended up writing itself. I made a murder ballad!

http://fabricari.com/music/murder-ballad.mp3

Here're the lyrics:

well, i'm the right man for this job
it really dun't matter who we rob
you can take all his money
you can take his wife
i'd rather cut his face
with my crooked knife

today's a good day
to kill a man

i'll drag my victim's body to a shed
gonna cut 'im into pieces until he's all dead
chop off his arms, saw off his legs
i'll grind 'im to the bone
and feed 'im to the pigs

today's a good day
to kill a man

and when the cops finally find this place
i'll cut my throat open with a smile on my face
when they finally get me
i won't give damn
cuz today's a good day
to kill a man

today's a good day
to kill a man

(Chord progression: Am, Em, Am, F Am, F, G, F Am)

I found your main page, you have a lot of cool music. I typed in creepy Banjo music and it brought up your murder ballot. It is that indeed. I have had a REALLY hard time finding music to fit in a swamp/hillbilly killer section of the haunted forest. This fits perfectly!!!

Thanks Andi! Feel free to use that mp3 however you like! Sadly, I only recorded it with my desktop microphone, so I don't have anything out there with better quality yet.
